Cabling as infrastructure
Structured cabling brings selected network connections to an organized termination point. Plan the required locations, cable types, pathways and equipment space before installation. Future changes still depend on the equipment, route and intended use. We discuss the cabling plan with the owner or IT provider so the infrastructure supports the project.
What we run
Network cabling for data and for access points, including the runs that carry power over Ethernet to cameras, phones and door hardware. Coax where it is still needed. Speaker and AV cabling, display feeds and control wiring. Camera and intercom runs. Conduit and pathways so future cable can be pulled without opening finishes again, which is the single most valuable thing to install during a remodel and the most commonly skipped. We label both ends of everything and give you a record of what goes where.
Doing it during construction
A remodel, tenant improvement or new build can provide access for cable routes before finishes close. In an existing building, attic access, crawlspaces and finished floors affect the work. We review the routes and required separation from power wiring, then identify access needs and related finish repairs before pricing.

Common questions
Is cabling worth it when Wi-Fi keeps improving?
Wired connections can support well-placed access points and fixed equipment, but the right layout depends on the building and network design. Coordinate access-point locations and equipment requirements with your IT provider. We can review cabling, power requirements and routes for the selected setup.
Can you run cabling in a finished house?
Often, but the route and access need review. Attics and crawlspaces may help; a finished floor above can make the work more involved. We discuss the proposed runs and identify openings or finish repairs in the agreed scope rather than assuming they are included.
Do you configure the network as well?
We install and terminate the physical infrastructure and test the runs. Configuring servers, firewalls and network equipment is normally your IT provider's work, and we coordinate with them so the cabling arrives where they need it, labeled and documented.

A reliable link needs more than a cable label
Specify the use and route
Data, cameras and access control have different cable and equipment needs. Consider distance, environment, power and separation from electrical circuits. Cable category alone does not establish finished-link performance.
Include testing and ownership
Label both ends and agree on the tests and records the owner receives. Active equipment and programming may be separate from cabling. Clarify penetrations, firestopping and commissioning responsibilities.
