Before you plan the work

What kinds of electrical projects do you handle?

We work on commercial, multifamily and residential properties. Our priorities include multi-meter equipment, switchgear, subpanels and panel upgrades, alongside tenant improvements, construction, rewiring, lighting and repairs. Residential work includes ADUs, builder standard homes and custom homes.

Which areas do you serve?

We serve the San Fernando Valley and Greater Los Angeles. The service-area directory lists the cities and regions covered on this site. Call (800) 280-0428 with your address and the work you need so we can confirm availability.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Ai Builders Electric is a licensed and insured electrical contractor serving residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Our contractor license number is 1033090. We handle maintenance, repairs, renovations, and new construction, with work completed to applicable code and safety requirements. Contact us to discuss the electrical scope for your property.

Do you offer free estimates?

Estimates based on plans and site visits are free. Troubleshooting and diagnostic work are chargeable; we discuss the cost before that work begins.

Do you handle urgent electrical problems?

Call during business hours to discuss the issue and availability. We do not advertise a 24-hour emergency response or guarantee an arrival time. If there is smoke, fire or an immediate danger, leave the area and call 911.

How quickly will you respond to my inquiry?

We reply to inquiries during business hours. That commitment concerns communication, not a guaranteed arrival or completion time. Scheduling depends on the work, access, equipment, and project requirements. For an urgent electrical issue, call (800) 280-0428 so the situation can be discussed directly rather than waiting for a form response.

Can you handle both small jobs and large projects?

Yes. Our work ranges from individual circuits, lighting and repairs to building-wide equipment replacement. Tell us about the property and the work you need so we can discuss the scope and next step.

Is your work guaranteed?

Ask about workmanship and equipment coverage when reviewing your estimate. Coverage and terms should be documented for your project; manufacturer warranties may have separate conditions. You approve the electrical scope and pricing before work begins.

Do you take on commercial and industrial work?

Yes. Electrical contracting for residential and commercial properties is our main work, and we take on industrial jobs as well. That covers tenant improvements, lighting retrofits, equipment connections, service upgrades and ongoing maintenance alongside the residential side. Tell us the property type and the scope and we will say plainly whether it is work we take on.

Do you work with landlords and property managers?

Yes. We handle multi-meter equipment, switchgear, house panels, unit subpanels, lighting and electrical repairs. We coordinate the agreed scope with property managers, owners and HOA representatives, including access and occupant communication where needed.

Can you work from an architect or engineer's drawings?

Yes. Share the available drawings, equipment information and project requirements. We review the electrical scope and coordinate questions with the design and construction team. Any additional design or engineering services should be identified separately.

Can you take over a job another contractor started?

We can discuss the project and assess the existing work before agreeing on a scope. Share the plans, permit information and inspection records you have. The assessment determines what can be retained, what needs correction and what remains to be completed.

What should I have ready when I call?

The property city, type of building and a plain description of the problem or proposed work are a useful start. Available drawings, utility correspondence and safely accessible equipment photographs may help. Please do not open electrical equipment to take photos.

Do you give a written estimate?

Yes. We explain the proposed electrical scope and pricing before work begins. If the scope changes or an unexpected condition needs additional work, the change should be discussed and approved before proceeding.
